Lidl Home and Beauty set

In February 2025, Lidl GB sold a limited-edition Premium Home & Beauty Set for just £5. The box held products that Lidl valued at £59.37 at its in-store prices, and only 1,000 were made. The set went on sale online at 10am on Thursday 6 February 2025 and, according to a sold-out notice reproduced by the LatestDeals website, sold out because of "unprecedented demand".

This guide covers everything that is publicly known about the set: what was inside and what each item cost, the scents and variants seen on the products, how the sale worked, whether the maths stacked up, and whether you can still get one.

What Was the Lidl Home & Beauty Set?

The set was a gift box built from Lidl's new Deluxe Home & Beauty range, which Lidl's announcement describes as products from its new Deluxe Home & Beauty bays. It combined three things that are not usually sold together at a supermarket: scented products for the home (candles and diffusers), bath and body care, and a small set of food and wellness items (tea, Manuka honey and multivitamin gummies).

Lidl Premium Home & Beauty Set

Lidl timed the launch for Valentine's Day and pitched it as an alternative to flowers and chocolates, citing a rise of nearly 70% over the previous month in Google searches for "Valentine's Day gifts". It also described the box as suitable for anyone who wanted a self-care session at low cost, not only for couples. The launch was Lidl's second beauty and wellness box: its announcement refers to the sell-out success of its first Beauty Box "last February".

How the Sale Worked

The sale followed a simple, tightly limited format:

  • 4 February 2025: Lidl announced the set and published its full product list.
  • 10am, 6 February 2025: orders opened on the dedicated website, on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Limit: 1,000 sets in total.
  • Delivery: free, direct to the customer's door.
  • Eligibility: England, Scotland and Wales only.
  • After the sell-out: Lidl Plus members could still take 15% off selected Deluxe Home & Beauty products in store until 12 February.

Early coverage described the box as arriving in a gift box; one outlet called it pink.

What Was Inside the Set? The Full Product List

Lidl published every product, its size and its in-store price. The table below groups them by type. Note that Lidl's own materials give two different counts: its press-release table lists 19 lines, while the campaign website's FAQ says each set contained 18 products. The difference is not explained, so this guide follows the 19-line press-release list.

Scents and Variants Seen on the Products

Lidl's list uses range names such as Soft Curves, Contemporary, Ceremony of Scent and Botanical. Photographs of the set show the individual scent and variant names printed on the labels. The ones identified are:

  • Candles: Orange & Bergamot, Amber, Green Garden, Eucalyptus Rain.
  • Diffusers: Rhubarb & Rose, plus several more reed diffusers.
  • Hand washes and soaps: Wood Sage & Sea Salt, Aromatic Hand Wash, Pomegranate hand soap.
  • Hand and body: Verbena hand and body wash, Aromatic Body Cleanser, Mintilicious Tingle shower gel.
  • Hand lotions and cream: Wild Bluebell, Citrus & Herb, and a hand cream.
  • Tea and honey: Earl Grey tea (a 50-bag pack) and Manuka honey.

Lidl's press release does not say which scent belongs to which range, so the two lists cannot be matched one to one. They describe the same set from two angles: the retailer's product names, and the labels visible in photographs.

  • Judging by their names, the scents fall into a few families:
  • Citrus and herbal: Orange & Bergamot, Citrus & Herb, Verbena.
  • Floral and fruity: Wild Bluebell, Rhubarb & Rose, Pomegranate.
  • Woody, warm and marine: Amber, Wood Sage & Sea Salt.
  • Fresh and green: Green Garden, Eucalyptus Rain, Mintilicious Tingle.

This grouping is based on the names alone. No independent description of how the scents smell was found.

Candles and Reed Diffusers

The home fragrance part of the set was the biggest by value: four candles and three diffusers, each priced at £3.99. The candles ranged from 200g (Contemporary and Ceremony of Scent) to 250g (Botanical) and 260g (Soft Curves). Each diffuser held 100ml. Lidl did not publish burn times or fragrance-throw claims for the candles, so none are given here.

Hand, Body and Shower Products

Nine products covered washing and hand care. Lidl highlighted three of them together, the D'Avignon Handwash, Luxury Hand Lotion and Aromatic Body Cleanser, as the basis for an "everything shower" routine. The rest of the group was made up of three further handwashes (Aromatic, Luxury and White), the Lavish Shower Gel, a hand cream and a second hand lotion, in sizes from 100ml to 500ml. That made the set a bathroom stock-up as much as a gift. The 500ml bottles (D'Avignon Handwash, Aromatic Handwash, Aromatic Body Cleanser and Lavish Shower Gel) were the largest bottles in the box.

Tea, Manuka Honey and Gummies

The food and wellness items were one of the two smallest groups in the box by number (three items), but they matched the "beauty from within" angle Lidl used in its marketing:

  • Speciality tea (125g, £1.25): photographs show a 50-bag Earl Grey pack, which works out at 2.5g per bag.
  • Manuka Honey MGO 100 (250g, £4.89): the most expensive single item in the set. "MGO 100" refers to the methylglyoxal content of the honey (at least 100mg per kg), a common grading for Manuka honey; a higher number means a higher rating.
  • Adult Multivitamin Gummies (60 pieces, £3.89): listed in Lidl's table and described in its announcement as nutrient-packed.

Lidl suggested pairing the tea with a drizzle of the honey as a "me-time" moment.

Was the £5 Set Good Value?

The numbers, using Lidl's own prices:

  1. Saving: £59.37 of products for £5 is a saving of £54.37, or about 92%.
  2. Cost per product: roughly 26p per item across the 19 listed lines.
  3. Delivery: free, so £5 was the full cost.

Two cautions apply. First, the £59.37 value is the total of Lidl's own shelf prices, not an independent valuation. Second, no independent product tests or reviews of the set were found, so comments on quality here are limited to what Lidl published. On price alone, though, the box was a fraction of the cost of buying the same items separately.

Who Was the Set For?

  • Valentine's gift-givers looking for something other than flowers or chocolates.
  • Self-care buyers who wanted to stock up on hand wash, lotion and shower products cheaply.
  • Home-fragrance fans, since candles and diffusers made up almost half of the value.
  • Deal hunters who follow limited-edition retail drops.

Lidl's Earlier Beauty Box

The 2025 set was not Lidl's first. Its announcement says the earlier Beauty Box sold out and describes the 2025 box as its second venture into the beauty and wellness box space. The date of the first box is reported differently: Lidl's release says "last February", while one outlet reports a May 2024 launch and a value above £70. Because the sources disagree, this guide does not give a firm date or contents for the earlier box.

Can You Still Get the Lidl Home & Beauty Set?

The set was limited to 1,000 units and sold out. No announcement of a restock or a repeat edition of this particular box was found. The Lidl Plus 15% offer ended on 12 February 2025. The individual products came from Lidl's Deluxe Home & Beauty range, but stock in stores and online varies, so check your local store or the Lidl website for what is currently available.
