Who are Public Service Broadcasting?
The history of Public Service Broadcasting began in 2009 in London. The band became famous for its unique approach to music creation. It combines elements of post-rock with electronica and indie rock, archival audio recordings and documentary material.
Initially, the group was a solo project by J. Willgoose, Esq. He wrote songs based on old films, propaganda broadcasts, and archival recordings.

Later, drummer Wrigglesworth joined him. Thanks to the new member, dynamic percussion appeared, complementing the electronic textures and vintage samples.
The band dedicated their first EP, The War Room, released in 2012, to World War II and related propaganda materials. The EP's success was due to the band's signature style — a combination of historical samples with post-rock, electronica and live instrumentation.
In 2024, the musicians released their fifth studio album, The Last Flight, dedicated to the last flight of the famous aviator Amelia Earhart, who made a round-the-world trip in 1937 and disappeared without a trace over the Pacific Ocean.
