What is Creamfields?
Creamfields is held annually in August. The event takes place on several stages and arenas, one of which is APEX (the indoor main stage, which can accommodate up to 30,000 people) and Steel Yard, designed for 15,000 spectators.
Creamfields was created by the promoter of the Cream club in Liverpool.
The festival features a variety of electronic music subgenres, such as:
- house;
- techno;
- trance;
- drum and bass.
The event was first held in 1998 in Winchester. The first edition of the festival attracted 25,000 spectators. From 1999 to 2005, it was held in Liverpool, Merseyside.
In 2006, Creamfields moved to Darsbury, which made it possible to expand the format and introduce different camping options.
Over the years, the festival's headliners have included such famous personalities as David Guetta, Swedish House Mafia, Martin Garrix, Tiësto, Calvin Harris, The Chemical Brothers, and others.
Also noteworthy is the appearance of new stages: Halo, a 45-meter-diameter circular arena with video, high-quality lighting, and acoustics, and Forest Stage, decorated in a forest theme.
Creamfields has sister festivals in other countries: Spain, Brazil, and Argentina.
Creamfields
What makes the festival unique is the silent disco, where participants wear headphones and dance to music that only they can hear.
Creamfields was originally a one-day event, but over time it has grown to four days. The festival has won numerous awards, including the UK Festival Awards' Best Dance Event and the International Dance Music Award for Best Music Event.
Creamfields line-up 2025
