Many music fans associate Mis-Teeq with Alesha Dixon. The artist was born on 7 October 1978. Sabrina Washington is the voice of the group, the lead singer who added spice to Mis-Teeq's most famous tracks, including ‘Scandalous’ and ‘B With Me’. The artist's full name is Sabrina Fredrica Washington, and she was born on 27 October 1978. She achieved success on stage, as well as in acting and business. She gained the most fame for her performances as part of Mis-Teeq. The future star was born in Harlesden, and her father was into music and played reggae. It was largely under his influence that Sabrina Washington chose a creative profession. In 1999, she met Alesha Dixon, and that's when it all began.

Su-Elise Nash

Su-Elise Michelle Nash was not the lead singer of Mis-Teeq, but she nevertheless made a significant contribution to the project's success. She was born on 22 May 1981 in Dulwich. The artist has Jamaican and British roots. Before devoting her life to music, she earned a degree in business from Middlesex University. She has four sisters: Lisa, Christina, Helena, and Savannah. After announcing their breakup on 25 April 2005, the band released a compilation of their best songs.

Among Mis-Teeq's most popular songs are the following hits:

  • Scandalous.
  • All I Want.
  • B With Me.

Mis-Teeq - Scandalous

Mis-Teeq's lyrics are relatable to a wide audience, which is why the group has achieved success not only in their home country but also abroad.

The single ‘B with Me’ tells the story of unrequited love and forbidden attraction. The lyrical heroine is passionately in love with a man who is already in a relationship.

The key message of the song ‘That Type of Girl’ is that the lyrical heroine is a strong and independent woman who knows her worth. She does not allow herself to be deceived and is not going to waste her time on a man who is unable to appreciate her.

The song ‘These Days’ says that the essence of life is what a person does, and there is no point in worrying about it. The song also contains the phrase that no matter where the characters fall, they will survive anyway.

After Mis-Teeq split up, the former members of the group continued their creative activities. Sabrina Washington is known to the public as a pop singer, and not long ago, the artist told the public about her struggle with alcohol addiction. Her most famous solo song is Gone. Sabrina Washington describes herself as a quiet drinker. In one interview, she said:

After several years of touring the world, recording and performing, I needed to take a break from the spotlight for a while. I was very young and needed a break from all the craziness. It allowed me to focus on what was important to me: music. I spent a lot of time in the studio writing and recording new songs, of which I now have many.

Su-Elise Nash returned to her studies and qualified as a teacher. She currently teaches acting at the Su-Elise Theatre School in Kent.

Alicia Dixon won Dancing with the Stars in 2007 and achieved success as a television presenter. In 2009, she appeared on the same show again, but this time as a judge. In 2010, she released her third studio album. The artist successfully balances her creative work and personal life: she has been married twice and has two daughters.

Why did Mis-Teeq break up?

Mis-Teeq

Mis-Teeq announced their breakup in 2005 due to the bankruptcy of Telstar Records, the label they worked with. One of the most famous members of the band stated that she had decided to leave due to the excessive ‘intensity’ of her relationships with her bandmates after many years of performing and working in the studio. She focused on her solo career.
