Little Mix

Little Mix is a British girl group that first appeared in public in 2011. The girls met on the talent show The X Factor UK, fate brought them together, and the judges formed them into a group. In the same year, Little Mix became the first group to win the show.

In 2020, Jesse Nelson left the group, and the remaining members continued their work, but in 2022, they announced a hiatus, wanting to focus on solo projects. Little Mix became so famous that their wax figures appeared at Madame Tussauds London — further proof of their influence on pop culture. The figures of the band members are on display in London and other English cities.

Little Mix collaborated with Anne-Marie, and their duet ‘Holiday’ was part of live performances and festivals. The artists often crossed paths on joint shows and television projects.

Participation in The X Factor

The group quickly gained the attention of viewers thanks to their powerful vocals, complemented by their charismatic image. Little Mix didn't just make it through all the stages of the show — they won the eighth season of The X Factor, becoming the first group to win in the show's history. This victory opened the doors to the music industry for them and became the starting point for their further success.

Like Rak-Su, the winners of The X Factor UK 2017, they gained a large number of fans. The show launched both groups, and they performed many times in joint special concerts and finals.

Breakthrough and international success

After The X Factor, Little Mix recorded their debut single Wings, which immediately entered the charts and cemented their popularity in the United Kingdom. The group later released the hits Black Magic and Shout Out to My Ex — both tracks reached high positions in the charts and received a huge response from listeners around the world. Little Mix became popular not only in Europe, but far beyond. Little Mix performed their international hits on stage at OVO Hydro, one of the largest concert venues in Glasgow, Scotland. Such venues confirmed the scale of their popularity.

The group also performed regularly in Birmingham as part of their tours. Their concerts at the Birmingham Arena were sold out and received a very warm welcome. Their performances at the Royal Albert Hall, London's legendary venue, were equally iconic. Recent years and break

After more than ten years of continuous work, Little Mix announced in December 2021 that they would be taking a break after completing The Confetti Tour in the spring of 2022. The girls immediately emphasised that this was not a break-up, but a hiatus. They wanted to take a breather, focus on their personal lives and try their hand at new projects.

A year earlier, in 2020, Jesy Nelson left the group. After her departure, the group continued to perform as a trio. Despite the changes, they successfully completed the tour and said goodbye to their fans not as an end, but rather as a comma in their history. During the hiatus, the members pursued solo careers and personal matters, while continuing to keep in touch with fans and occasionally hinting that a reunion in the future was entirely possible.

Over the years, Little Mix has amassed an impressive collection of awards. They have been nominated and won multiple times at the BRIT Awards, one of Great Britain's most prestigious music awards.

• 2017 — Best British Single for the song Shout Out to My Ex. This victory was an important moment in their career.

MTV Europe Music Awards (EMA):

Perrie Edwards

Jesy Nelson
