You can change to the Merseyrail train from Lime Street to James Street station, located a 5-minute walk from Albert Dock.

The museum is a 20-minute walk from the station, through the Liverpool ONE shopping centre on the banks of the River Mersey.

By underground

From Liverpool Lime Street station (the city's main railway station, from which trains depart for London and other cities in England), you can walk to the museum from Morefields underground station (about a 7-minute walk).

After exiting the station, turn right onto Lime Street and continue towards Ranelagh Street. Continue straight until you reach North John Street, then turn left and then right onto Mathew Street.

The museum will be on your right at 23 Mathew Street.

By tram

The tram stop is a few minutes' walk from the museum. Walk straight along Ranelagh Street until you reach the junction with Bold Street, then turn left.

By bus

The museum can also be reached by bus numbers 800, 500 and 25. The bus stop is located in the Albert Dock area.

Liverpool ONE bus station is also a 7-minute walk from the museum, with buses to and from the city centre.

By car
