Many studies show that there is a real lack of verified health information online.

That is why Gyn&co aims to offer a high-quality service that enables readers to find relevant information while also supporting women’s health professionals through a communication platform where they can collaborate.

How the Site Was Founded

Gyn&co is an initiative by Mithra Pharmaceuticals.

Mithra Pharmaceuticals carried out a qualitative study using an online collaborative platform with 870 women aged 16 to 68 from Belgium, France, Germany, and Brazil. This was an unprecedented survey that gave women the chance to share their experiences and women’s health needs through more than 40,000 posts collected in barely three weeks.

Far removed from health forums that are sometimes packed with far-fetched information, Gyn&co’s added value lies in the active involvement of health professionals, who share their insights and validate all the information presented on the website. No fewer than 40 professionals took part in the Gyn&co initiative and agreed to contribute on topics in which they excel. This figure is set to grow in the future, as Gyn&co offers professionals who wish to contribute the opportunity to sign up and help shape the site’s development.

Gyn&co’s videos also feature contributions from doctors, gynaecologists, psychologists and nutritionists.

Editorial Team

All content on the Gyn&co website was produced by professional science journalists working at the communications agency Mission Systole and was reviewed and validated by a team of doctors.
