History of the show
The show premiered on 7 August 2004. Initially, the project was planned as a three-week event. On 21 August 2024, it was announced that there would be a second season of Love Is Blind: UK.

Format
The format of Love Is Blind: UK is quite original. Participants looking for their soul mate meet in special ‘capsules’ for the first 10 days of the project. These are private rooms divided in half by a transparent blue screen, allowing them to communicate without seeing each other.
Love Is Blind: UK ‘capsules’
The process begins with a series of short dates, after which participants must decide with whom they would like to spend more time. At any point, one may propose marriage, and after acceptance, the couple meets in person for the first time.
In the next stage, the engaged couples go on a week-long holiday to a resort to get to know each other better, take their relationship to the next level, and meet the other participants in the experiment.
The couples then move to an apartment complex in London for the remaining three weeks.

Interesting facts:
- Men have the right to choose rings from those offered or purchase their own before participating in the show.
- During the filming of the project, there is a ban on phones. Giving up gadgets helps participants focus on their relationships; they also do not have access to Wi-Fi or television.
- Participants are not allowed to choose who they will have their first date with. The producers organise short 15-minute meetings with each person of the opposite sex.
- The men and women participating in the project live separately. Until they are engaged, they cannot see each other, are located in different parts of the set, and work with different production teams.
- Despite the fact that couples are not allowed to see or touch each other, they have the right to choose how their dates will take place - the options can be very different, from painting to playing the guitar.
- If a participant does not connect with anyone, they leave the project.
- Participants are not recommended to reveal their relationships on social media before the season premiere or wear rings before that moment.
